Organised by: ARCH, Gujarat and Liberty Institute, New Delhi, in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation

 

 

Programme Schedule:

 

March 28:

 

8.30 am:                       Departure from Baroda for Dediapada

 

12 noon to 2 pm:         Assessing the economic possibilities of community forest rights, in Dediapada town

 

4 to 6 pm:                    Evaluating the technical capacity of community leaders in using tools to map land claims and document rights, in Malsamothe village

 

9 to 11 pm:                  Roundtable discussion on GIS related technical issues and their adaptability in the rural context

 

Night halt at the forest rest house in Malsamothe village

 

March 29:

 

9 to 11 am:                  The impact on agricultural land and common resources following the recognition of rights, in Sagai village

 

12 noon to 2 pm:         Local Institutions and management practices to effectively implement the community rights, in Dabka and surrounding villages

 

3.30 pm:                      Departure from Dediapada for Baroda
