Resource Persons:
Shri Dyaneshwar Patil, District Collector, Sheopur district, Madhya Pradesh

District Tribal Welfare Officer

District Forest Officer

Shri Ambrish Mehta, ARCH Vahini, Baroda

Smt. Trupti Mehta, ARCH Vahini

Shri Barun Mitra, Liberty Institute, New Delhi

Field Visit:
Names of the villages (pincodes, panchayet and block, names) to be visited during field visit. Meeting with the FRC members, and community leaders. And to map plots of land in that village,  compiling the names of claimants, and document any other types of evidence available.

If the locations of the villages are available, then it would help in identifying and saving the satellite images of the area, prior to the field visit. This will greatly help in demonstrating the role of GIS in implementing the FRA. This may also reduce the dependence on satellite images.

Resources and Equipment necessary:

GPS / PDA instruments (We will bring 2 GPS instruments, and it would help if the PDA instruments from the district are made available, along with operators).
PDA data for the claims approved, if any, in that village. (It would really help if this information could be sent to us as soon as possible. This will help us assess the localities on satellite images.)

Data card for internet connection

Projector and screen for presentation

Workshop venue: Sheopur, MP

Workshop Coordinator: Shri Parihar, Tribal welfare officer, Sheopur district, MP
