A two day state level workshop is being held to review the implementation of the Forest Rights Act in the state of Jharkhand. The objective is to assess the progress, identify the bottlenecks, and explore ways of improving the efficacy of this law, which is aimed at recognising the land rights of communities living in and around forests. The workshop is being organised by Liberty Institute and Manthan Yuva Sansthan. Participants from across the state are expected. The venue is HRDC, Gossner College campus, in Ranchi.
