At the Workshop on Property Rights and Development in Bangalore, Ms. Manjula C., Chairperson, Karnataka State Commission for Women, will launch the 'International Property Rights Index 2011'. Many women panchayat members are expected to participate. Delegates will discuss issues like evolution of property rights from the constitutional and legal perspective In India, property rights as human rights, and role of property rights in protecting the environment. This workshop is being organised by Liberty Institute, in partnership with Friedrich Naumann – Stifitung fur die Freiheit, SUGRAMA, Grama Panchayat Chunayitha Mahila Prathinidhigala Sangha, Karnataka and Action For Social and Educational Development Association. The workshop will be held at SCM House, Mission Road, Bangalore on November 16, 2011.
